Therapeutic yoga group sessions
Therapeutic (Holistic) Group Yoga Sessions are not just for physical wellness. They incorporate not only gentle, mind-body spirit practices but also provide an opportunity to connect with others in a safe and supportive space, which promotes a greater sense of wellbeing.
The sessions open with a brief check-in/discussion circle, offering an opportunity to come together in community. This is followed by a quiet centering and grounding to begin the practice. You’ll be guided through a variety of gentle movements (asanas) that are suited for ANY and ALL body-type or level - no experience is required. Special attention is given to your unique needs using props such as blocks, straps, knee cushioning, a chair etc.
Included in each session are breathing techniques (pranayama) to help calm, energize or balance, meditation to bring clarity and focus, and restorative, relaxation practices that promote deep, nourishing rest. And, to assist in healing, therapeutic touch will be offered from time-to-time (always with the option to opt out, if preferred)
The class will end with relaxation (Savasana) to restore and renew.
The number of classes vary each month from 2 – 4 Fridays per month @ 10:00 am - 11:15 am Cost is $20 per class if all classes for the month are reserved and $25 per class for select classes. Registration is required each month - space is limited *
